- Has worked as an HSSE Manager, Supervisor, Consultant, Auditor and/or Advisor on numerous and diverse onshore pipeline construction projects employing 500-6000 workers, in Canada, U.S.A., Republic of Georgia, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Peru, Argentina, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
- Has investigated and identified the causes of hundreds of right of way and transportation accidents and thereby accrued an unequalled knowledge of pipeline construction lessons learned.
- Has assembled the pipeline construction industry´s most comprehensive data base of HSSE lessons learned.
- Has extensive experience, laying large diameter pipe (including associated transportation risks) in every type of soil, terrain and climate, from permafrost in the sub-arctic, to the rolling plains of central Canada, the rock and swamps of Eastern Canada, the high plains of the western U.S.A., the sands of the Sahara Desert, the wetlands and peat bogs of northern Europe, and the extreme slopes in the mountains of Turkey, Western Canada, the Caucasus and the Andes.
- Has written HSSE requirements into project contracts, and managed HSSE assessments of pipeline contractors during bid assessments.
- Has developed and/or enhanced HSSE Management System documents for major international pipeline construction projects.
- Worked closely with every pipeline industry trade and a multitude of project managers, spread men, delivery managers, foremen, safety advisors, construction inspection staff…..for both the Client and the Contractor and consequently is familiar with the personalities and attitudes within the industry workforce.
- Possesses extensive technical knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of Side Boom Tractor – the industry’s primary lifting device - and all other specialized heavy equipment, tools and trades in the Pipeline Construction Industry.
- Is knowledgeable of hazards, risks and lessons learned applicable to closed crossing methods: pipe jacking, micro tunneling (closed face), HDD, auger bore, pipe hammer bore, pipe thruster….
- Conducted Right of Way Hazard Recognition and Gap Analysis Audits for major International Pipeline Construction Projects.
